general in response to pint's question: Any recommended restaurants in central Johannesburg? It is very difficult for me to move toward other areas to have lunch.(give a different answer) .
In the city centre of Johannesburg it's very difficult to decide where to eat. It's crammed with restaurants of all sorts. However, only some of them are worth a try. For instance, Shivava Cafe, on President St, serves very good traditional dishes, but also tasty vegetarian food. The chicken curry really is their best. A main ranges between 5 and 8$
