antonio's question:
What should I visit in Johannesburg? I've been always fascinated with African culture and Africa's tormented past...(give a different answer) .
Newtown is considered to be the city's heart when it comes to arts. This area shelters Africa Museum ($0,80 admission, on 121 Bree St) which stands out with interesting exhibitions on Johannesburg history and a large rocks collection that I found pretty unique. Marhet Theatre (Bree St) has theatre venues, coffe shops, and a pub named Kippie's bar. It's worth taking a tour round these places I'd say.
