You can take a metro train to get to Stellenbosch from Cape Town. A 1st class ticket is $1,15 and a 3rd class is only $0,60. It's a 46km distance and an hour trip. Oh, a tip: try to travel during the week and not at weekends to avoid unpleasant events that might occur (like robbery).
